Discover Dresden

The venue for the second EuroBrake congress is again the beautiful city of Dresden, capital of Saxony and one of the most fascinating cities to visit in Germany.

Fondly dubbed the ‘Florence on the Elbe’, Dresden is home to many world-famous sights and places of interest. Industry and research are closely interconnected in Dresden. Many high-tech companies in sectors including semiconductors and aerospace are located here. Dresden is also the foremost research location in eastern Germany, with higher education institutions such as the University of Applied Sciences and the Fraunhofer, Leibniz and Max Planck Institutes.

With its excellent infrastructure, convenient transport links and enduring charm, Dresden  proved the perfect location for the first EuroBrake congress and we have decided to return there in 2013. The Internationales Congress Centre Dresden is one of Europe’s most modern and beautiful congress centres and proved highly popular with both delegates and exhibitors. Situated directly on the river banks of the Elbe, it is a few steps away from Dresden’s architectural masterpieces: the Semper Opera House, the Zwinger and the world-famous Frauenkirche.
