Abstract

Due to the development of electric vehicles, the development and attention to the problems of vibrational and acoustic comfort are becoming increasingly important, especially in quasi-static conditions where mechanical components still play a major role.

The creep-groan is an issue that arises in static conditions, during the release of hydraulic pressure the stick slip phenomenon born and generates frame vibration with acoustic impact inside the vehicle.

In order to maximize the number of tests performed to verify different solutions, was introduced an optimized temperature and humidity controlled procedure for corner dyno, it was validated by comparison with road test results. A frequency based post-processing is then used to highlight the differences between different friction materials and different countermeasures on the same friction material.
