'Impact of electrified vehicles on brakes'
The Strategy Panel at Eurobrake has become a permanent element and has set itself the goal of showing and discussing current social and technological developments with effects on the braking systems, in order to provide relevant information for necessary decisions in industry and science.
In the new decade, the requirements for brake systems will change dramatically. A clear focus at the vehicle level is the necessary local emission reduction in our cities worldwide. This development accelerates the electrification of vehicle drives enormously.
The aim of the panel in 2020 is to look at the resulting changes for brake systems from different points of view, and to focus on the properties of the braking systems in front of the customer.
We are convinced that with an increasing focus on individual properties of the braking systems, there may also be opportunities to reduce requirements for other properties, but which properties will have to be changed radically here? And where do opportunities arise for reducing the requirements? Are there and solutions ideas that already exist in industry or are there relevant research results in universities?
We will discuss these issues with our high-caliber panel of leading minds from business and science, supporting follow up discuss during and after EuroBrake 2020.
